Winter inspiration- part 2
New day, new walk! This time I took a walk around the island (and national city park) Djurgården, located just across the harbor from Gamla Stan. Not only is Djurgården the location of many of Stockholm's most famous attractions (Skansen, Vasa Museum, ABBA the Museum, Gröna Lund, etc.) it is also the city's largest park with acres and acres of parklands, forests and waterways. I have written many posts over the years about things to do in the park... usually in the summertime. Click here for an older post about a summer walk for comparison. But Djurgården is amazingly beautiful in the winter as well. Just make sure you dress warmly!
They recently built a new pedestrian bridge that crosses the Djurgård Canal (which separates Djurgården from the mainland). This is nice as it allows you to make a shorter walk, if you want, around the canal.
